Employees Honored for Years of Service
May 2015 – Martin Energy Services and Martin Marine celebrated Crew Appreciation Day recently at the 193 Dock, also known as “The Boat Store”, south of Lake Arthur, LA. Several managers and staff members were on hand to show their support and gratitude for the job that these crews do each day and night. During the celebration, Teeter Menard, Terry Fontenot, Louis Vincent, Roland Duhon and Bernard Duhon were recognized for their outstanding service.
Teeter Menard started with Talen’s Marine & Fuel back in 1972. He is on his 8th issue Captain’s license with over forty-two years of experience. He currently has two motor vessels named after him, one of which operates out of the 193 Dock. Over the years he has trained dozens of Tankerman and some of which have become captains themselves. Terry Fontenot started in 1978 with Talen’s at the 193 Dock and has been there for thirty-seven years. He is on his 7th issue Captain’s license. Terry has always worked shift work and has trained over a dozen Tankerman. Louis Vincent has 34 years of service and is on his 7th issue Captain’s license. Louis has trained seven Tankerman, one of which is Roland Duhon. Roland and Louis have worked together for 18 years. Just like Terry , these gentlemen have always worked at the 193 Dock. Over his 14 years of service, Bernard Duhon has worked as a crane operator, CDL driver and a Tankerman. In 2009, he was promoted to facility manager of the 193 Dock. Bernard has shown great leadership and is admired by everyone that works with him.
These gentlemen have given many years of service, and Martin salutes their dedication and commitment.
